Interview with a local Family medicine Doctor.
An interview with a family doctor.
1. How much do you know about bacteriophages?
2. How relevant is the use of bacteriophages in your field?
3. Do you often experience cases of anti-biotic resistance in patients?
4. What are your views on bacteriophages?
5. Do you think that the use of bacteriophages should be common practice
1. Bacteriophages are types of viruses that kill bacteria. They are very wide spread in nature.
2. it’s non relevant, not used for the best of my knowledge
3. not too often, but multiple drug resistance is getting more of the problem. I could see phases being used as a treatment for multiple resistance bacteria, however I would assume that bacteria could develop some resistance to phages as well.
4. more research is needed to apply use of phages in medicine, but it sounds promising
5. if benefits of use outweigh risks, than definitely yes.
