Interview with a Pharmaceutics Official.

An interview with the sister of my uncle, who works in the pharmaceutical industry in germany.

Interviewer: How much do you know about bacteriophages?
Interviewee: Well, very little. I know that they are like viruses and inject their DNA into bacteria. I think there are differences: some bacteria carry the viruses and reproduce with them, while others are killed by the viruses. Unfortunately, I don't know much more than that.

Interviewer: How often do you come into contact with bacteria in your work?
Interviewee: Not much.

Interviewer: Have you ever had contact with research on bacteriophages?
Interviewee: No, not at all.

Interviewer: Are you aware of the disadvantages of bacteriophages?
Interviewee: The only thing I know is that they can become resistant to antibiotics.

Interviewer: Would you support the use of bacteriophages in healthcare?
Interviewee: It depends on what exactly it involves. But against antibiotic-resistant bacteria, I would definitely support the use of phages to avoid putting patients in critical situations through the use of stronger antibiotics.
